Phenix’s new fire sleeve is made in the USA and is AS1072 certified and allows you to assemble hoses to AS1055D specs. This is true Aviation spec fire sleeve with a 0.115″ wall thickness of silicone. This sleeve is designed to operate in 500°F continuous with molten splash up to 2,000°F. It is highly resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels. The dense braided fiberglass interior insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing, while the high-density silicone coating protects personnel from accidental injury.
Every fire sleeve installation should be completed by sealing both ends of the hose assembly with silicone tape to ensure nothing burns inside of the sleeve. Our Military Spec Mil-1-46852 silicone tape is the only way to insure that doesn’t happen. Self-fusing, air and moisture tight seal, non-adhesive, bonds only to itself and cures in 24 hours at room temperature.
